About Us
Ajaunie Silpot, known to most as Johnny, is the owner and lead therapist at Physical Therapy Associates, a proudly local, independently-owned physical therapy practice based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Johnny brings over two decades of experience to the clinic, which he leads with a clear vision: to deliver personalized, patient-focused care without the corporate constraints of time limits or standardized treatment protocols.
Johnny began his career in physical therapy at age 17, working as an aide in 2003 and gradually advancing through every level of the profession to fulfill his goal of opening a small, community-centered practice. His diverse experience includes a focus on orthopedic physical therapy and neurological rehabilitation, along with a warm, approachable style. Known for his dedication to individualized treatment, Johnny tells patients he can “treat anything from a stubbed toe to a traumatic brain injury and everything in between.” Each session is crafted to meet the patient’s unique needs, reflecting Johnny’s commitment to excellence and patient-centered care.
Johnny completed his studies at Norwalk Community College before transferring to Sacred Heart University, where he developed his hands-on, compassionate approach to patient care.
He also serves as a clinical instructor, teaching and mentoring the next generation of therapists from local schools. For Johnny, sharing his knowledge and expertise is a key part of giving back to the community and advancing the field he’s passionate about.
After years of working in larger, corporate-run clinics, Johnny saw the limitations these environments placed on effective care. When he acquired Physical Therapy Associates in 2023, his mission was clear: to bring back personalized, one-on-one therapy, where every patient receives the time and care they deserve. As a small, locally owned medical practice, Physical Therapy Associates is free from corporate pressures, allowing Johnny and his team to work with patients for as long as necessary to achieve real, lasting results. The clinic’s healing-focused, welcoming atmosphere supports patients during each step of their recovery, creating an experience that’s as positive as it is effective.
At Physical Therapy Associates, Johnny and his team are committed to being a resource for the Norwalk community, providing individualized care that’s both professional and deeply compassionate. For Johnny, physical therapy isn’t just a job; it’s a calling to make a meaningful, lasting difference in the lives of his patients and his community.
